For Benilde Architecture educator Ar. Ronald John B. Dalmacio, a hero in architecture is the one who creates an ecosystem of not just designers and project managers but also critics and software specialists.
"My only hope for architecture students is for them to be more self-aware and get out of their comfort zone," he shared. "They could form a larger community of architecture critics, forensic architects, and every specialist in between so that everyone could have different opportunities to earn a living in this demanding profession."
Ronald John B. Dalmacio, M.Arch UAP PIA teaches research subjects under the Architecture Program of the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde School of Environment and Design (SED). He is the pioneering program chairman of the architecture department of Colegio de Muntinlupa.
Dalmacio finished his master's degree in architecture at the University of the Philippines Diliman. His research on evaluating surgery departments, which was part of his master's thesis, has been published in "Muhon: A Journal of Architecture, Landscape Architecture, and the Designed Environment."
