A few weeks ago, a customer asked me to make an Almond Joy Cake for her parents' 65th wedding anniversary. She wanted a chocolate cake with coconut filling and chocolate icing. A simple cake celebrating a momentous occasion. I was honored to be a part of their family celebration.

Even though I am no longer at the Matthews Farmers Market, I just can't quit the world's greatest customers. I have discovered that if you send a menu they will come! This week is all about the tastes of summer. The box includes blueberry crumb cake, cherry almond crumb pie, blueberry peach cobbler, and tomato pie. I also threw in a piece of chocolate chip banana nut bread as a tasty thank for my customer family's continued support.

After six years of serving the world’s greatest customers, today was my last day at the Matthews Community Farmers Market. It was a great day filled with lots of love, hugs, tears, and an unexpected storm to keep things interesting. I will always be grateful for my time at the market. It was my pleasure to serve so many wonderful people over the years. Thank you so much for supporting me and for being more than just customers. You are all cherished friends that I am blessed to know. I love you all, and I promise not to be a stranger. I will definitely keep you posted regarding my “What's next?” 🥰💖
