DANGIT, GARY!! 💀

Gary tried plugging the water line into the outlet and now he is on probation again!

The good news? Our actual crew knows what they are doing!

Well, we tried to give Gary another chance with the power tools, but let’s just say he’s better suited for a different role…

So, we’re excited to announce that Gary has officially been “promoted” to Smithers Home Maintenance’s Social Media Influencer!

For his first assignment, Gary is showing off the progress on what is going to be one AMAZING basement hangout!

Here’s what we’ve been working on:

• Deep Blue Ceiling: We “fogged” the exposed ceiling a deep blue, helping all those pipes, wires, and utilities disappear without the need for drywall.

• Feature Wall: We built a dividing wall that separates what will be a bar area on one side and a media room on the other.

Next up: Installing the cabinets in the bar area!

This basement is going to be a fantastic space for entertaining, relaxing, and making memories. We can’t wait to show you how it all comes together!

As for Gary, we’re just hoping this new position doesn’t go to his head. He’s already asking for a dressing room and a sponsorship deal. Please Like and Subscribe and comment GARY2026 to follow his beauty tips!

Throwback Before & After: The Captain’s Quarters!

The guys were asking me the other day what some of my favorite projects were from last year, and this one immediately came to mind!

It’s been a year since we wrapped up this pirate-themed basement remodel, and it’s still one of the coolest transformations we’ve been a part of. And even though it’s pirate-themed, I think it fits right in with spooky season!

We took this space from bare walls and concrete floors to a one-of-a-kind captain’s quarters, handling the drywall, flooring, and wainscoting along the way.

But I have to give a huge shoutout to the homeowners for the incredible vision and design. The creativity and attention to detail really brought this whole space to life. We just helped build the ship!

Take a look back at the before and after photos. This is definitely one project our crew won’t forget!

Out with the old carpet, IN with new LVP flooring!

We’ve been busy installing luxury vinyl plank flooring in homes all over the area, and we’re sharing a few of our recent projects!

LVP is a great way to update your space with flooring that’s durable, easy to maintain, and looks fantastic!

We’ll even dispose of your old carpet…and Gary if need be.

Thinking about replacing your old carpet? Give us a call for a free estimate! 419-250-1797

Another bathroom makeover in the books!

We gave this space a fresh update with a new vanity, countertop, medicine cabinet, and shower door along with updated lighting and fresh wall and trim paint.

It’s always satisfying to see how the right updates can make a bathroom feel brighter, cleaner, and completely refreshed.

Really happy with how this one came together!

Freaky Feature Friday is back with a GIVEAWAY!

We were ready to highlight Gary hard at work on the job.

Only problem? WE COULDN’T FIND HIM!

Turns out Gary was hiding from work at one of his favorite local coffee shops, Georgette’s Grounds & Gifts

So, we’re letting you decide his fate. Do we:

A. Suspend Gary and put him on administrative leave (to drink more coffee)
B. Make Gary work overtime
C. Buy a Georgette’s gift card for one person that comments on this post (chosen randomly on Monday, Oct 5th!)

Cast your vote in the comments. Gary’s future at Smithers Home Maintenance is in your hands…and maybe even a coffee 💀

We usually feature dogs for Pet Post Wednesday, but I figured it was time to give the cats a little love too!

Meet Manford and his brother Matteo. These two are currently up for adoption at Toledo Humane Society and looking for their forever homes!

Check out the video to meet them, and please share this post to help us get these two in front of the right family.

Good luck, Manford and Matteo. I’m rooting for you guys!
