🍎 Back to School on the Eastern Shore! 🚌
As students across Accomack County head back to school, our roads are getting a little busier in the mornings and afternoons. From all of us at Nock Painting, we wish our students, teachers, school staff, and families a safe and successful school year!
A few important reminders as those yellow buses return to our roads:
🚌 Stop for school buses when their red lights are flashing and stop sign is extended.
🛑 All directions must stop on two-lane and multi-lane roads without a physical median.
🚗 Leave extra following distance behind buses and expect frequent stops.
👀 Watch carefully for children near bus stops, intersections, neighborhoods, and school entrances.
⏰ Give yourself a few extra minutes during morning and afternoon bus routes...patience helps keep everyone safe.
📵 Stay alert and distraction-free behind the wheel, especially when children are present.
We spend a lot of time traveling the roads of the Eastern Shore to and from our painting projects, and we know a few extra minutes of patience is a small price to pay for keeping our community's children safe.
