Good morning, I wanted to say thank you to everyone that has supported my business as I build it back up. I hope everyone had a nice weekend and is ready for Monday. It seems like it’s getting cold again, hopefully everyone can keep themselves and their pets safe and warm. That being said. There are a few invasive species that suffer dieback in the cold temperatures, Water Hyacinth, Hydrilla, and Alligator W**d. Though, they often grow back in the spring and keep spreading. What I’ve found is that significant build up of dead plant matter can result in bacteria and algea blooms that form a milky white cloud in the water once they themselves die off. It makes the water uncomfortable, and sometimes uninhabitable for fish and other animals due to the lack of oxygen available. It creates a cycle. Getting it out after it dies off, along with attention to the bottom, will promote a healthier and more comfortable swimming, fishing, or launch area..
