Summer Avenue Merchants and Friends A group seeking to improve the quality of life on Summer Avenue and to provide support for matters of neighborhood concern.

The objectives of the Summer Avenue Merchants Association are to represent and advance the interests of the businesses on Summer Avenue, establish the growth and beautification of Summer Avenue by seeking the improvement of dwellings and landscaping, establish mutual protection and safety, and to promote the commercial and economic development of hispanic businesses in the area.

Congratulations to Samuel, Yocelin, Cedric, Alyssia, Mariana, and Monica from the Collegiate Class of 2026, who have all earned a full-ride scholarship through QuestBridge - a powerful platform that connects the nation's brightest students with leading institutions of higher education.

These six scholars were among 2,550 students across the country who matched with their dream college through QuestBridge. This year's matches tie last year's total, marking the highest number of matches Collegiate has achieved in a single senior class. Next fall, these scholars will head off to Rice University, Columbia University, Washington University in St. Louis, Princeton University, Yale University, and Vanderbilt University.

We are so proud of their accomplishments and can’t wait to see the incredible impact they will make in college and beyond!

Thanks so much! Elwood’s will be offering a complimentary meal on Thanksgiving Day to working law enforcement. We have a lot of out of town officers right now. Traditional Turkey dinner plates only. I will be open only to law enforcement. I’ll open at noon till it’s gone. I have 10 extra turkeys so let’s thanks the officers keeping us safe. If anyone wants to help me I’ll be there early Thursday.

JUST IN: We just got word from the owner of Mortimer's that they will be provide a complimentary plate lunch for National Guard members deployed to Memphis.

God bless our KWAM friends and small business owners. You folks are what make Memphis matter.

Elwood's Shack says they will gladly offer a BBQ sandwich for free to any uniformed National Guard member on deployment in Memphis.
