Hi flower friends! I thought I’d introduce myself as it’s long overdue and many of you are new here. I’m Cindy, the bouquet maker and flower grower here at Blooming Field Farm. I’m so excited to be expanding my farm so that I’ll have more flowers to share with my community! The whole process of selecting seeds, tubers & perennial plants and research about flower farming is addictive!…as is fussing over every arrangement & bouquet I create. 😉 I am so lucky to have the space and ability to grow my flower crops. Us flower farmers work HARD! …whether growing on small or large acreage, but in the end all the physical labor, worry about weather and future yields, set backs & marketing are all worth it! If you are considering growing flowers too this is your sign to go for it, but start small and grow “easy” flowers😊🌸
When I’m not obsessing over bouquets, I’m a mom, RN, artist, and “retired” alpaca farmer 🦙🧶…I’m dabbling in drying some of our blooms as well as dyeing my alpaca yarn with flowers from my field. I think I may have too many hobbies, lol 🤔 but I love creating and thinking up new ideas. Flowers allow me to do that even more.
Thanks for following along and supporting my small business and 💛…I’ll be sharing more behind the scenes posts and tips on growing flowers here on my page. I also hope to offer a bouquet subscription in the future as well as pop-up events in addition to my road side stand. Dreaming of small workshops here on the farm someday as well so stay tuned! 💛🌸💛
Thanks if you’ve taken the time to read this far…reach out if you ever want to talk flowers!
