Can you use Civil 3D parcels for your SSA drainage basins? Catchments are the better tool: draw them in Civil 3D, assign them to structures, and their areas and time of concentration come straight into SSA on import.

Too small for drone mapping? Almost never.

This existing-grade base map covers a residential pool and the lots around it in Titusville for a pool equipment shelter project. Ground control, RTK spot grades, orthophoto, contours, and the existing structures located, all for a site that would have taken a crew with a rod most of a day. The flight took thirty minutes.

The best CAD lead I ever worked under never told me an answer. He'd look at my screen, ask "what do you think that surface is doing right there?", and walk away.

I hated it for about a year. Then I noticed I'd stopped needing to ask.

If you're training someone this fall: the goal isn't a drafter who does what you say. It's one who can tell you when you're wrong.

Who taught you that way? Tag them.
