Breaking ground on something special in South Fork, CO. At its core, The Lobo Market & Kitchen ( ) is about connection — to the land, to local food, and to each other. Designed by AIRE + Partners as a market, café, bar, and four welcoming cabins, this project aims to create a space where travelers and neighbors alike can slow down, gather, and feel part of the valley. We approached this design with a deep respect for place.

The building’s form and materiality are inspired by the surrounding landscape, while its function is rooted in community — offering a venue for local producers, a gathering space for shared meals, and accommodations that reflect the beauty and simplicity of the region.
Sustainable design is as much about people as it is about buildings. This is a project meant to grow with its community and endure as part of the story of South Fork. This is just the beginning.

Grateful to have been part of the GHT – Miami 2025, where voices from across the world came together to exchange bold ideas about the future of hospitality, design, and global wellbeing.
Karin Salas Dax and Agustin Salas, IAAIA had the privilege of delivering a keynote presentation, sharing insights on how intelligence, design systems, and emotional resonance can transform hospitality into something more adaptive, regenerative, and meaningful.

A heartfelt thank you to and Lorraine Jack, for curating such a thoughtful platform, and for inviting us to contribute to the conversation.
