The Victorian Shoppe

The Victorian Shoppe Home décor and digital art that is a fusion of Victorian and Country Cottage aesthetics. We would love to see you!

The Victorian Shoppe has its origins back to 2007 when we opened an online store specializing in Renaissance and Victorian clothing. It quickly attracted a large clientele of people needing period clothing for Renaissance Festivals, Theatrical Productions, Civil War Reenactments, and Weddings. We had a very successful 10 year run, but as we all know, the best made plans often go astray. Serious he

alth issues and the pandemic caused the online store to be on a very extended hiatus. We are now back in business and are exclusively selling home decor at Art Fairs and Vintage Markets in Michigan. If you live in Southeast Michigan and are interested in our home décor items, please join us at one of our market events. We also have an Etsy Store selling digital print items with a Country Cottage / Vintage vibe (https://www.etsy.com/shop/TheVictorianShoppe).

Added a tall apothecary bottle to my antique booth. This one dates back to the early to mid 1900s. It is 19 inches tall and quite heavy. These were made by Pyrex and sold to pharmacies across the country.

I found this adorable Sailor Cat cookie jar at a recent estate sale. It was produced by the Wilbur Milton Company during the 1970s and sold in department stores like Mervyns.

Check out other new finds that I brought in this week - Booth #63 at Capital Antiques.

Spent the morning refreshing my booth in Allen, Michigan. Love the old teacups and saucers - they are great for baby and wedding showers.

At a recent estate sale was the first time I saw a dragonware teacup and saucer! Too interesting to pass up.

I had some old cedar boards laying around, so I decided to try to upcycle them into wall decor. First the boards were cleaned and varnished, then furniture transfers were applied. Finally, an assortment of handcrafted trim and moulds were applied, plus lace and ribbon. The following photos show the steps in the process.
