Keep hair long? Or take it back short ? I need opinions

Just heard something really smart on the radio. They suggested that you stop feeding the fat cat. Now that what does that mean? Well they use an example of something like Oreos. Let's just say before inflation hit us Oreos were $2.99. And now let's say Oreos are $6.99 since covid. Does it really make sense to buy that $2.99 package of Oreos now that they are $6? And that's just one example. What I take from that is that there is too many people buying outside of their bare necessities and feeding the fat cat. If just a quarter of United States to have the United States just sticks with buying and using only the bare necessities, the fat cat has no other choice but to reassess their prices. Looking to see what everyone's thoughts are.

Ran into a competitor at a mulch yard on Friday in Raleigh North Carolina. He asked me how much I charge for mulch I said total in all $105.00 a cubic yard. He proceeded to tell me this is what I do. He says I charge $40 per man hour and I have 3 guys and myself he also says I give mulch at cost so I put down 3 cubic yards per hour.
So let's see $32.00 a cubic yard for mulch plus $40.00 an hour a man so let's say 3 yards 1 hour = $ 256.00 per hour

Me Mulch triple shredded total cost per cubic yard installed per hour without me running a special $105.00
