"Pumpkins on a Stick" I think my fall favorite ❤️❤️

Once harvested I will dry them. The stem turns brown but the pumpkins (which are actually mini eggplants) stay bright orange. I can not wait to use them in fall arrangements.

One of the coolest plants I grow. I bought 1 plant last year and harvested the seeds, I have a whole section now that the butterflies just live. Hairy balls milkweed is a host plant for many different butterflies, including monarch butterflies. The large leaves feed caterpillars, and the flowers are visited by many different insects but are only pollinated by vespid wasps and hornets.

A while back, my dear friend Katie Lillard made me an amazing shirt. Whenever I'm working in the fields, I get sweaty, dirty, and have my hair tied up on my head. The heat was sweltering yesterday, so I took a break in the shade and noticed I was using my favorite shirt to wipe away sweat...good thing she made me several!
