Because of the cold temps and frost warnings at night, I would recommend keeping your veggie plants inside, at least till the first week of June. Soil temps need to be at least 60°.
If you have ordered plants from me, I can hang onto them till the first week of June, if you have nowhere inside to keep them.
Putting plants like peppers outside when it’s still cold can stunt their growth and slow fruit production.
Farmer’s almanac is saying transplant peppers and tomatoes may 27-June 1.

I want to put the plants outside!

Cooler weather continues for another week or two, and frost risks look possible, if not likely into mid/late May. I do think we see a pattern flip to warmer conditions sometime late month, so hold on to hope, gardeners!

I got herbs planted last week, peppers a few weeks ago, and a custom veggie start order planted. I’m going to be doing tomatoes this week!

Most starts take about 6–8 weeks, so ordering early = less stress when planting season hits
