I just saw this video, and I know nothing about this company, but this idea could be perfect for someone. It requires a fair amount of space in a bathroom, which typically is not present, but it might be something to consider.

Photos from recent new construction: I'm ecstatic that client ended up with NO step to enter from garage and driveway to front porch to house!
Grab bar positioned at tall toilets for sitstand and balance assist.
Grab bars surround curbless shower with lower hand-held shower for use with seat. Client says the shower is the highlight of his day!

Thinking about adding a rail to your front steps, but you don't want it to look "institutional"? I just did a little googling and found some simple but classic options from Vevo, Newman Iron Works and a DIY from Simplified Building. A hand rail is not just for bad weather or those with balance or strength limitations. If it's there, people will use it. You don't want a guest to fall as he or she turns to say "Thank you" or "Good bye" after visiting!

Sometimes a stair lift is the answer, particularly in an older home where the only bathroom is on the 2nd floor, or there is no option for a ground level bedroom. I've seen a lift used on basement stairs also, providing safe access to basement laundry. Functional Home Solutions, LLC does not necessarily recommend this specific brand of stair lift
