It was an absolute pleasure going back to pur customer in Vineland to get heir second shed taken care of. New roof, all rotted replaced, custom fascia and drip edges wrap, vinyl vented soffits, and vinyl siding. We repaired, recut, and rehung the doors, and a little of their framing, sanded, cleaned and primed, then 2 coats of sw duration gloss in respective colors. Repaired some ramp supports, laid new decking for the ramp.
We also used some of the waste to cover front and back of our homeowners little greenhouse, and added a loft to this shed simply for storage, rather than the more heavy duty and structural support loft we put in the first one.
And as promised, we pulled the back wall siding of the first shed down, the wall that had all the seems in a straight line, to address what we ran out of time for in December, and had to just get it covered, then reinstalled the siding properly with seems as they should be.

Unfortunately our customer here had some serious damage to it and a lot of missing insulation. She mentioned her heating bills had gone up (before this most recent stuff) and had to add space heaters shed never needed before. But the biggest issue by the time we were called, was the floor. There was an entire 17/16 of linoleum and subfloor. Whoever redid the linoleum last time actually added another 1/2" MDF layer and a 1/4" luan layer.... ALL OF IT rotting through, to the point our owners children were seriously worried shed be falling through soon. I was worried too!
We got rid of all the damaged subfloors and linoleum... had to chisel off each joist the entire length as most of that thickness of subfloor in combo with the manufacturer glue and steady moisture, as well as at least 2 2" staples every 1/2" 😮, would not allow an easy separation. Once everything was cleaned up,we added some nailers, leveled up a couple low spots under where the fridge sits, and then installed a layer of 3/4" subfloor ply, and a layer of 1/4 luan, followed by underlayment and Luxury Vinyl Plank flooring.
I think she picked a really nice "weathered barn wood Hodge podge" LVP floor
Unfortunately, she could not afford both at this time, so we'll be going back later in the year to replace and repair the insulation and weather barrier.

We helped out a cousin's company with this garage last week when they got much busier than projected. Demoed the old shake shingle siding, wrapped in tyvek, removed and closed off old vents added new ones, and installed vinyl siding and soffits, with the trim getting wrapped with white aluminum. They should be able to finish it off from here this week and we move to our repairs and repaint maintenance scheduled for this week

Our latest project. Normally we would not be outside this time of year, our client has 2 of these sheds, but this one would not have survived another winter, and in order to get all the color choices for all the materials we had to wait on special orders.

We removed the two large lofts that were in there (forgot to get pictures of that), got the roof ridge back where it should be, pulled the walls back to where they should be, using a "come-along" and ratchet straps. Built 3 strong beams attached to each side with joist hangers tieing both sides together and added some serious roof support. This shed would rot out before that roof ever moves again.

We patched all the bad t1-11 siding, removed the old shingles, patched rotted roof sheathing, and removed and replaced all the old rotted fascia.
Installed the tar paper(picture to come), and repaired the doors to open and close properly after the major movements.

Next week we'll make all the drip edges for the roof from coil stock and wrap all the new fascia from that same coil stock. Install 1 replacement window and its trim, and since we could not get a matching window, I'll be making a sill to co.e as close to matching the other two windows as we can with what we could get, prep, prine and paint all remaining trim, and install vinyl soffits and siding to the exterior, and install new decking to the ramp.

As a show of appreciation, we will use the scraps from the repair work to create a loft storage area on the beams we built and a good proper storage shelf under that section where a very "thrown together", not too sturdy, shelf exists now.

This was a pre-built shed built in "Pennsylvania Dutch style", but not an actual Pennsylvania Dutch build. Even still, when we're done this will absolutely seem and behave as a Dutch build, and one amazing transformation in our clients back yard and shed/shop life

So last week I went back to our project in vineland to take care of all the windows and doors. They look so much better than the pics show. Unfortunately, I forgot to get a Pic of the garage door. The day I painted that was windy so we put it up to dry, to avoid blowing vegetation sticking in the paint. Was unaware there was a piece of hanging insulation from the garage ceiling and it ruined the paint on on of the panels. So after letting that paint cure a bit, went back and sanded out the damage and repainted, in my rush to fit it in that day, forgot to snap the Pic.

For anyone that has tried to call in the past two weeks and received a message saying voicemail was not set up, I apologize for the inconvenience.

This was an issue on the phone company's end I was only made aware of today.
It has been fixed.
