So, here are 3 questions to ask when hiring a contractor:

🪛 What are your qualifications? Are you licensed? Have them share examples of previous jobs and request references. Reviewing these items will help you find out if they’re a fit for your project & vision.

🪛 Who will be on-site and managing the project? It's your property, and if you're someone who works from home, it's even more important to ask. Inquire on how the contractor plans to handle site activity and any subcontractors coming into your home.

🪛 What warranties can you give me? Warranties - or a guarantee of their work - will ensure you leave the table happy. Ask about their quality guarantee to provide coverage against installation and workmanship errors. For peace of mind, avoid contractors who stammer to offer a guarantee -- typically a one-year service period following project completion.
