This chimney was in very poor condition prior to repairs. The existing crown was severely cracked and deteriorated, and the top brick courses were loose, broken, and beginning to separate from the structure due to long-term water pe*******on and weather damage.
Over the course of a 2-day restoration project, our team carefully demolished and removed the damaged crown along with the compromised upper brick courses. We then rebuilt the top 4 courses of the chimney using new brickwork and fresh mortar to restore the structural stability of the chimney.
After rebuilding the brick structure, we completed a full custom crown rebuild designed to provide proper water shedding and long-term protection against future moisture intrusion. The flues and chimney caps were properly reset and secured during the process to ensure safe ventilation and proper functionality.
This repair significantly improved the chimney’s safety, durability, and overall appearance while helping prevent future cracking, leaks, and structural deterioration.
