I'll keep an eye on temps and how the flowers are looking. If it gets too hot, I'll pull the cart in, post an update, and roll her out later this evening.

On another note, I spent last Saturday in Big Arm with my mom, planting out the rest of the plants I started via seed or tuber. That makes two full truck loads of plants, and 32 varieties of flowers/greenery. Now that the weather is heating up, things should take off!

You can catch a glimpse of the garden/flower farm in Big Arm (at what point does this change from garden to farm..🤷‍♀️) At any rate, its going to be gorgeous and I cannot wait!

Special thanks to my mom, Lori, for all the help transplanting, caring for the plants, harvesting, and transporting buckets of blooms back to Missoula to share with you all! This many flowers wouldn't be possible without her. ❤️

Ranunculus season is short and sweet. These rose like flowers begin to die back as the weather heats up over 70-80°, directing energy back down to the root (corm). I'll dig the corms up next month and store them until next February, when I'll get them planted again.

Special note about Ranunculus:

-They are rather fragile spring flowers, so be extra gentle when transporting and arranging
-Toxic to animals (just like most flowers)
-When you arrange them at home, make sure to keep them in fresh water

Hands down my favorite deer resistant plant - Catmint (Nepeta). Its a low maintenance flowering perennial that gets about 3 ft wide. Deer never touch it and the bees love it! I cut it down to about 6 inches in late Fall and it flowers Spring through Fall each year.

If you've noticed things have been a little quiet around here lately, it's because I was lucky enough to spend a week in Iceland celebrating the wedding of some friends.

It was an absolutely beautiful trip filled with incredible scenery, unforgettable memories, and the chance to witness one of the most gorgeous weddings I've ever attended.

I came home to gardens bursting with blooms! I'll be stocking the flower stand starting tomorrow at 9am. I'll also be updating the website with fresh arrangements available for delivery bulk buckets and there are still a few spots open for subscriptions.
