This project is finished! I took part in a remodeling job that involved installing a boiler in a new basement location, repiping/raising/resizing the trunk lines and takeoffs, installing heat in a remodeled powder room, and installing 3 new cast iron radiators on the 1st floor which previously had undersized radiators.

It's been well over a year of work at this property, but we're finally getting close to the end. This apartment building...

It's been well over a year of work at this property, but we're finally getting close to the end. This apartment building now has air conditioning fed through 12 of these indoor units.

The next step is to get all the radiators installed back in the house before the cold weather comes.

It was hard to spend more than a few minutes up on this roof this week, but we got it done 💪🏻💪🏻

This AC was slowly sinking into the ground due to years of rainfall and poor drainage (yes there's even a pad underneath the unit). We might be getting a few warm days here and there, but I'm still buried in heating calls. Here's the inside of a boiler system that I cleaned recently.

The burners were not cleaned on a regular basis, so the flames were burning dirty and creating soot that covered the entire heat exchanger. Eventually this compounded and created a solid mass of soot. When I arrived, the flames were shooting out backwards and burned up a bunch of the controls until the safety switches shut it off.
