Final details on the Sol “Serpant” prototype. At 6-0x29x5 she’s a thick little lady but with an aggressive droprail and nose rocker she should be able to rip the local waves. Looking forward to testing this baby over the weekend and hand her off to her pilot

Blair Conklin used his skimboard, his insane ability, and even a winch, to decorate river waves of Wyoming and Idaho with his unique style.

Do over...

I’m pretty sure I was dealt a bad batch of epoxy and have been fighting my last board every step of the way. To reset my brain and keep from going insane, I stepped away for a minute and started the next board in the que. 6’4”x31”x5” SUP.

Not perfect but lots of progress. Im getting more comfortable with the planer, successfully fixed some bead tear-out, and only a couple dings to fill before I seal. Now for a late night of illustrator so I can print ricepaper and get painting tomorrow AM.

Blast with air, wipe with alcohol, blast with air, wipe with alcohol again only touching with a gloved hand, use tape to remove loose bristles from a fresh brush, mix epoxy, add wax, mix thoroughly again, apply quickly and don’t touch it again.

This is a board I was working on a month or so ago when there was a cold snap and temps in my basement dropped to around 45deg after I glassed it and went to bed. Between the sudden cold temp and maybe a bad mix job of my epoxy I’ll be tossing hours of work in the trash and even farther behind on a project for a friend. This is a bummer for sure but also a solid reminder that proper preparation and patience is so important. @ Montrose, Colorado

I’m behind on orders and while I wait for supplies to show up I’ve taken the time to dial in the new glassing station. Pretty stoked on the new space and can’t wait for a couple shipments to arrive so I can really get after it!

Where would we be without a lil help from our friends? In this case I’d still be glassing in a small basement continuously picking black widow spiders out of my setting epoxy. Thanks for the support Onward and upward! @ Montrose, Colorado
