Trying out a new paint that is actually manufactured locally. So far I am loving this paint. not to mention, it's cheaper than Annie Sloan. Still on the fence about it until I try out all the colors, waxes and finishes. Right now it's looking really good. Biggest draw so far is that it's much easier to wax than Annie Sloan. Also seems to have a more even look when waxed. Annie Sloan wax tends to look blotchy. R&D in progress. Let you know how it goes.

We went out to Excelsior this morning to set up our booth for the 3 day Christkindlmarkt Show and as luck would have it when we got ready to leave our van was dead. Lucky for us AAA came out, and hour and a half later and gave us a jump. Guess we should have kept the engine running when we were unloading the van. It was bone chilling cold and I was ready to throw in the towel before the show even started. Tomorrow is suppose to be way warmer so hopefully it will be a prosperous day.

I know I said I was done painting until after the Excelsior show on Black Friday, but what I meant to say was that I am done painting things to sell until then. This dining table and chairs belongs to Mark and I and has been stored in our basement for over a year now due to my painting escapades. Anyway, I'm loving this table. I'm a big nautical nut just like a whole lot of others out here on the island so I went with a subtle nautical color palette. I left red off as I accent with a lot of red in our kitchen so it's really not needed on this set. Anyway, this is probably my favorite dining table and chairs I've done to date, and I think I've done over half a dozen of them.

Here are the last two pieces I'm going to do until after the Christmas show in Excelsior on Black Friday weekend. I have way to many pieces to sell before the snow gets here and I have to get everything out of the garage. This little white table with Hudson Bay stripes was the first piece I ever did. I antiqued it incorrectly and it turned out so bad I couldn't sell it. Oh well, live and learn. Anyway, I'm done painting for awhile. Hope to see you all out in Excelsior Black Friday! The Gray and White striped coffee table is a re-do as well. This is another piece that was botched. Hopefully I'll get rid of this piece as well.

I spent the morning taking photos and laying out our 10 x 10 Christkindlemart site. Here's a few pictures. I have lots more to add to the layout but it's a lot of little pieces, catnip toys, Driftwood Santa's and Copper and stone/glass ornaments.
