Pantone 2024 Color of the Year is Pantone 13-1023 Peach Fuzz.
My mind immediately went to all of the peachy-blushy Daffodils that I love so much in early Spring.
Other peach fuzz-ish flower/foliage options include Tulips, Poppies, Peonies, Dahlias, Dianthus, Roses, Ranunculus Geum, Achillea, Digitalis, Echinacea, Heuchera and even Poinsettias!
And a round of Peach Bellinis might be the perfect way to celebrate this color!šŸ‘šŸ„‚šŸŽ‰

I’ve been getting a lot of questions about cutting Hellebores…when to cut, why did my Hellebores droop, how long will they last as a cut flower, etc.
If you wait until seed pods form, that’s easiest for cut flower success, but I like to enjoy bouquets starting in late November when my earliest varieties begin to bloom.
If you’re cutting the flowers that are on the fresh side, what has worked best for me is to score the stem, and submerge entire flower in water for a while (I usually soak them for 30 minutes to an hour or longer if I forget) before arranging with them. To score, take a knife and make a shallow slice down the stem.
Also, when cutting the flowers, I make sure at least one bloom on the stem is fully open/mature and cut the whole stem all the way at the bottom, I don’t just cut one flower off.
I change the vase water every day or two.
Vase life depends on the variety and maturity of the flower, but I’ve found that most look great anywhere from 10 days to 3 weeks.
Hope you’re enjoying Hellebore season and all the beauty and color it brings!šŸ’
