🚨STELLA ROSE SCHEDULED FOR EUTHANASIA 11/4 AT 1PM-EXTENDED FROM 11/3!🚨

PLEASE SHARE EVERYWHERE!

Stella Rose needs a hold by 1PM CST 11/3 or she’ll be euthanized. NO extensions. She needs a local adopter or foster & pledges for a rescue to save her life.

💔 Stella Rose was transferred to a rescue group on October 28th, but through a heartbreaking shelter mix-up, she was returned to BARC on October 31st. A dog named Mike was on the list & supposed to be transferred to rescue, but Stella Rose was sent instead. Now this 1 year old girl is back in the shelter & facing euthanasia.

A volunteer described Stella Rose as incredibly sweet, giving kisses, but clearly overwhelmed by her surroundings. She has been vocal and anxious in her kennel, sometimes barking and whining even when covered. She has also shown tension and frustration when other dogs pass her kennel, including barking and lunging.

But outside that kennel, staff have seen a different side. She has displayed a relaxed body and wagging tail in the outdoor runs, was easy to leash, and walked nicely on a loose leash. She has also been described as sweet and affectionate. She needs a patient person who can give her a calm environment, structure, and time to decompress.

Stella Rose is only a year old, heartworm negative, and has no additional medical concerns. She deserves the opportunity to settle into a home where she can feel safe instead of dying today.

🙏 Please help Stella Rose get the second chance she was supposed to have. She should not lose her life after already being returned from a rescue due to the shelter’s mistake.
