I'd love to share a pic - but it's rather dark and wet out there! Anyhoo- I bought a Kerosene heater for the greenhouse today - a wonderful present from my very sweet husband Donnie (as an exchange for letting the truck go, which was hard but ok) - so since its supposed to be cold as hell tonight, I hurried up and bought it, and a 5 gallon blue Kerosene jug, and 5 gallons of same time fill it, and we went out after dinner in the dark greenhouse and shivering got it all together and figured out, filling it was a pain in the major ass...but now its 30° warmer in there even just an hour going! Whoo-hoo!!

Scares me tho - if there's no sun, it doesnt heat up on it's own, and the greenhouse is the same damn temp it is outside!! Ahhhhh.. So ya'll come buy from me locally so I can afford to keep heating it! And buy moss poles, perlite and my wonderful aroid mix!

I want to share this from Plant Purge - what my very best customer Bethany Dillard wrote for and about me! This is why I got into this business- to share beautiful fun plants with the wonderful people out there! She's def my most frequent customer, I have one or two others that have ordered twice from me - also Janis Donathan from Texas and I know there is one other person who has been a repeat customer, but it's hard to sort thru the zillion emails from all the wonderful one time customers who have bought plants from me, and have become my friends ❤
Thank you all, who have helped me succeed so far, and give me a good reason to try to keep going with my greenhouse in what's going to be a cold winter and a real test of my skills! I wish the dang thing would let me highlight/tag people but for some reason it's not.

So, second sheet of plastic was way worse to put on, but at least this time I knew what to do - boost it over the top evenly as possible- try to throw the heavy ends toward the side parts, then it would blow back on me up there about 8ft up- smothered in slimy plastic sheeting about 7 x till my arms were about to fall off trying to hold it up! Get it up there and if I see that it's working- race down the ladder and try to pull it over on each side (then it blows off again), back up. Back down, side to side back up back down, yank, yank, pull, curse, yell a bunch. Finally get it on. Get it taped a enough to take my son to work, come in and I'm in the middle of yelling "I RULE" when I look out the window and see this... More yanking when Im back...

It's been a long summer if working hard on making the greenhouse, and making it work! As anyone in Indiana knows, or knows what the midwest is like- I'm taking HUGE chances on trying to do this and make it winter hardy!

The main issue has been trying to get the roof tiles to fit w the roof holes being drilled wrong. Huge impact too since heat rises! So, having taken the roof off 3 times and trying to put it on better and it not working, I finally started looking for the thickest plastic I could find to make a roof!
Found 10mil (10ft x 100 ft) plastic sheeting at menards last week and let me tell you - that box was HEAVY! And measured the side, roof angle, doubled it - making 30 ft - which is one long ass peice of plastic - I burst out laughing at the length and what was ahead - seeing if I could get it over the 10ft peak myself - with the wind blowing...and I'm not afraid to admit how much I yelled at the plastic and the wind "stay PUT DAMN YOU!!!" and I straddled the top of the ladder for the first time, but I got it, slot of pulling, yanking over on either side, but its on!! Then I screamed a loud scream of victory- probably made the neighbors wonder what was going on, oh well. Its noticeably warmer in there now! Gotta tape it on, before my hard work is undone! Then the back part cause 10ft doesn't cover a 16 ft long roof! Excuse that the lumber is in the way - benches are next! Warmth comes first tho! Oh, and there's finally a door on - it doesnt roll, but it holds in heat!

Super ultra pink leaves that my camera did NOT do justice picking up the color of!! Potted in my own mix of large coco husk, coco coir, and coarse perlite - so well draining but holds moisture like they love!

$10 each and includes hanger!

Shipping costs - depends on where you live! They are light, and should fit in a fairly small box so shipping costs should be between $7-9!

Its always super hard for me to chop a piece off of a philodendron - esp my favorite! It was sitting there practically GLOWING in the sun as only a "Calkins Gold" can do, and I noticed the end was VERY ready to make babies from! I almost want to keep this plant facing backwards from now on - the back of its leaves are a beautiful peach shade that's amazing! The pics show one peice, but I wound up chopping the one into two parts- each w thier own set of gnarly roots that are ready as can be, to plant! So - two more "Calkins Gold" coming soon, and now my parent plant looks blunted and unhappy till it branches from the end...
IF these go up for sale - expect a price around $25.00 - they arent everywhere, and to me they are very precious (at least to me!) ❤ Its from a very healthy happy plant, so they should do well!
