No animal on earth knows what a Monday is.

No plant. No ocean. No nervous system in nature. The week doesn’t exist.

You’ve been exhausted by something that was never real.

“Clean Sweep,” - Editorial illustration featured on the cover of The Hartford Courant a few years back. The piece explores the challenges of emptying a house filled with decades of possessions.

Crafted using cut paper, collage, and mixed media on a panel, I aimed to capture not just the physical act of clearing out a home, but also the emotional weight it carries. The final image highlights the shadows and dimensions of the work, bringing the piece to life.

Portrait illustration of Edel Demetrio Gonzalez as featured in the summer issue of USC’s Trojan Family Magazine, 2014. Commissioned by Pentagram

The concept was to visually document his journey by featuring a juxtaposition of his younger self at 18 years old alongside his 39-year-old portrait. A powerful reminder of the impact of incarceration on individuals.

This piece was crafted using cut paper, yarn, rope, cardboard, collage, and mixed media on a 16 x 20 inch wood panel.
