Final Reveal of TLC Condo

This Homeowner fell so in love with their home again we were asked to fix several other areas of the exterior trim and porch. This home looked completely different but we weren't done yet with spring in the air they ask us to install a wrap around landscaping. We sat down with them planned out the design and decided on emerald greens, encore azaleas and Peruvian lilies.Then we went to our local nursery for a load of fresh mulch to top everything off. It added so much charm and elegance to the place!

This home is almost complete, we will still have to go out in a month or so the paint the porch but oh wow it looks stunning. All it needed was a little TLC! Follow along as we begin another journey with a new project next week!

Update on TLC Condo

Once the trim is measured its time to install and caulk the trim to seal it and wait 1 month to paint or until it passed the water bead test. This is pressure treated wood which requires time to dry properly, preventing the paint from peeling. Kiln-dried treated wood can be painted sooner.
So once the wood absorbs water instead of beading its time to paint with exterior grade paint, taping off to prevent any transfer onto the siding. Follow along as we transform this beautiful condo!

Update on TLC Condo:

The first step is to take measurements of the windows and check to see if they need to be special ordered. Sometimes you get lucky and its a common size that is in stock. This wasn't the case with these particular windows. Once the windows came in though its full steam ahead. The first thing to come off is the trim before removing the window entirely. This is the stage where you can address if any further damage that has occurred. Then apply window flashing tape, inserting the new window, leveling, plumbing with shims, securing it through the nailing fl**ge and sealing with caulk and insulation. Once the windows are in its time to measure for the trim. Follow along as this Condo gets some TLC!
