I’m sure by now everybody has seen the coming forecast this weekend. Freezing rain and sleet, possible snow. We don’t see many storms like this down in the south, but that doesn’t mean we aren’t ready to help in the event of an accident! We’ll get bundled up and pull limbs from houses, vehicles, or to clear driveways. Just make sure to call or message us if you need assistance!

As 2025 comes to a close, I just want to take a moment to say thank you.

Thank you to every homeowner, customer, friend, and referral who trusted Cane River Tree Care this year. Whether it was a big removal, storm cleanup, or a small pruning job, your support is the reason this business continues to grow. I don’t take that lightly.

This past year brought hard work, long days, and a lot of learning — and I’m proud of the progress we’ve made. I’m looking forward to carrying that momentum into 2026 and continuing to provide safe, honest, and professional tree care to our community.

As we head into the new year, winter is one of the best times for tree pruning. If you’ve been putting it off or want to start 2026 with healthier, safer trees around your home, now’s a great time to schedule a free estimate.

Here’s to a strong finish to 2025 and an even better 2026. If you read this far into the post, please hit like, share, and invite your friends to follow in the new year! Big things are coming!

Merry Christmas to all our friends, family, and followers!

This time of year trees are usually considered dormant and growth has slowed. It is the perfect time for trimming. It’s easier to see potential problems, remove dead wood, and help your trees come back stronger in the spring. Taking care of it now can help prevent storm damage later.

If your trees need a little cleanup, we’re offering free winter pruning estimates. No obligation; just honest recommendations and fair pricing.

Send us a message here, or call us or text us at (318) 471 2101 to schedule a free estimate! My family has proudly served Natchitoches for 40 years! Share with your friends and family!

What was supposed to be an afternoon shower Monday night led to some of the strongest winds I have ever seen not caused by a hurricane or tornado. Unfortunately, the right combination of wind and rain brought several trees down and onto homes in Natchitoches and we have been working diligently to get them removed without causing further damage to property.

At Cane River Tree Care we whole-heartedly believe every tree is important. They can add value to your property, offer shade to your home, and offer food and shelter to the little critters that live among us. Unfortunately, those same trees can eventually lead to situations like this. Luckily, nobody was killed or injured. Buildings can be repaired, trees can be replaced. Lives lost aren’t so easy.

In the event of critical tree failure, make sure you call somebody with the expertise to get you taken care of quickly and efficiently. We are licensed and insured and always ready!

The Bald Cypress (Taxodium distichum) is Louisiana’s beloved state tree—and for good reason! These trees are iconic staples of our swamps, lakes, creeks, and bayous.

But that’s where they belong.

As beautiful as they are in the wild, Bald Cypress trees make terrible yard trees. Their large, sticky cones, constant needle drop, and those infamous knees make yard maintenance a real chore.

These homeowners were ready to take their yard back. We gave them the full-service removal: tree down, stump ground, knees chased and leveled for smooth mowing in the future. We even saved the log for milling—can’t wait to see what kind of grain it’s hiding inside.

If you’ve got a yard tree that belongs in a bayou, give us a call or message us. We’re here to help with all your tree care needs.
