Studio and its apprentices participated in the 9 Church Pilgrimage on this most holy day, Good Friday, in New Orleans. This tradition remind us of the devotion of previous New Orleans generations that were talented and devoted Architects, artisans and tradesmen whose faith steered them to create some of the most incredible and iconic structures in New Orleans that reflect the history, materials, detailing, technology and resources of these times. These buildings inspire our studio to serve our communities with our architectural and construction strengths and preserve what is uniquely New Orleans for future generations. AMB2 Architecture helps design energy efficient buildings but the studio realizes that it is not always enough and that some New Orleanians will be struggling to stay warm with the upcoming Arctic blast. As the cold weather approaches, the AMB2 Architecture studio has been collecting new and gently used coats and jackets throughout the week and have dropped them off for local New Orleanians in need.

Studio field trips are the best way to connect with historic buildings. With every visit, we discover yet a new detail. Historic preservation is one of the many services AMB2 Architecture provides.
And when we drive through the neighborhoods of New Orleans, we are reminded of the many many buildings we have been in and helped salvage and renovate into elegant pieces of art.
This trip to the Houma House was a special visit. It was an opportunity to revisit all the details that attracted the studio to preserving, respecting and learning from past construction techniques, materials and design strategies, as we implement them in our current and future designs.
