For Claire Thomas, every room begins with a story. A plot, a lens, a world to build, with each piece chosen because it belongs in the same narrative as everything around it.

“Are they in the same conversation, in the same room, in the same story?”

For her sons’ bedroom, that story was Treasure Island. Sienna in Storm chosen to look like the ocean during a storm, liquid metal beneath a stormy sky ceiling. For her home office, a forest floor beneath sycamores and live oaks, with Dutton in Mocha as the ground beneath it all.
