What is the future of cultural heritage? It’s a question we’ve been asking a lot recently and to help answer it we’ve been applying some strategic foresight. Familiar with the concept? It’s all about identifying potential long-term changes and exploring their implications for the future. We even gathered a group of experts from diverse fields together and asked them to research and identify potential future trends that might impact cultural heritage, using a foresight technique known as horizon scanning. Their findings were enlightening and with their help we produced a statement of purpose, which can serve as both a vision and a call to action, encouraging the heritage sector to harness key opportunities for tackling priority challenges coming over the horizon. We’ll be exploring strategic foresight more in the coming months, so head to our website for a full rundown of this exciting project ➡ https://bit.ly/3qXIJv8

Global Studio OPEN HOUSE Webinar

Welcome to Session 2 Courses @ CPDI Africa!

At CPDI Africa, we are dedicated to using heritage as a guiding marker to translate our analysis into innovative and thought-provoking design-build projects. Most design professionals have not been exposed to African culture in their respective academic institutions and workplaces. As a result, both our continental and diasporic communities inhabit spaces that truly don’t belong to them. To demystify and address this, CPDI Africa's academic platform, The Global Studio, will teach designers how to specialize and become experts in diverse African design languages.

The Global Studio faculty invite you to come to learn about our Session 2 Course Offerings on Saturday, March 27, 2021. The virtual Open House will take place from 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm (EST)/ 8:00 pm - 9:30 pm (WAT).

The Global Studio is open to any race, religion or creed, and encourages collaboration between designers, artists, engineers, planners, and development professionals. We will also introduce the Country Ambassadors Program- a bridge to connect our students with distinguished organizations across the diaspora and the ongoing international activity that contributes to Africa's contemporary voice within the larger architectural discourse.
