Over forty text-based works reflecting reactions to and connections through HIV/AIDS across generations, juxtaposing public rhetoric with personal revelations through print, painting, sculpture and installation. A mix of art, activism, and design, the exhibition pairs internationally renowned figures like Felix Gonzalez-Torres, John Giorno, Glenn Ligon, Deborah Kass, Yoko Ono, Jack Pierson, Kay

Rosen, David Wojnarowicz, and Rob Wynne, with critically-acclaimed emerging talent such as Leslie Hewitt, Matt Keegan, Lucas Michael, and J. It also presents works by legendary activists Gran Fury and General Idea alongside prints by cutting-edge graphic artists Anthony Burrill, Experimental JetSet, and James Joyce. On June 2, Visual AIDS held the opening reception of its annual exhibition at La MaMa La Galleria in New York City.

From the bathroom walls to ceiling ducts, doorhandles to floor mats, the paintings, prints, sculptures, and installations will fully inhabit the space with messages juxtaposing public rhetoric with personal revelations.
