Montefiore Park Neighborhood Association Montefiore Park Neighborhood Association Since its inception in 1994, more than 40 trees have been planted along Broadway and connecting streets.

The Montefiore Park Neighborhood Associations (MPNA) seeks to revitalize Montefiore Park as an oasis of pastoral and arboreal serenity by helping transform this triangular park into an aesthetically and historically relevant, self sustaining and economically viable recreational area for the peaceable enjoyment of its Hamilton Heights residents and visitors. MPNA of local residents and partnering c

ommunity organizations have cleaned Hamilton Place, the Broadway Malls and Montefiore Park, removing garbage dumps, graffiti, and street clutter that are so often the refuge for illicit activity in the neighborhood. Today, with community input at our monthly planning meetings and gardening & clean-up days, MPNA has drafted a long-term “re-visioning plan” for Montefiore Park. As a grass roots association in support of the NYC Department of Transportation’s Plaza Program, MPNA works closely with Heritage Heath & Housing and the Harlem Community Development Corporation to help guide the redesign of Montefiore Park and will seek to convert the current “gated” grassland corridor into an open, inviting and recreational community park for all to enjoy.

WHAT a GREAT DAY at Montefiore Park! Perfect cooler weather, loads of volunteers, and a big pile of mulch!

At today’s monthly IT’S MY PARK DAY volunteers started mulching and removing debris and weeds in the large holiday tree bed!!! Sat May 16 we’ll finish.

21 volunteers! 🪻THANK YOU ALL! 🤩
19 bags of debris removed!
8 square yards of mulch spread!
Wowhee!!!
