S. Hesse Studio Arts My more recent canvases have become pages in my personal journal. Art is not only my therapy, it allows me to reconnect with my inner strength and spirit.

Embracing a rekindled love for oil painting, my work seeks to capture ordinary people and time in life with soothing color, texture and with a touch of hidden emotion. Today, every stroke of my brush not only helps me better understand my past but releases the day-to-day work stress I encounter while working with children with disabilities. Instead of the written word, I use paint to tell the stories of people, places, and feelings that have shaped my life.
