NYC STREET ART SPOTLIGHT: Shepard Fairey - You might not know his name, but you most likely know his art. Fairey's most famous piece is the HOPE poster he created for Obama's campaign.

Head to East 11th Street and 1st Avenue and look up, above Little Tong's Noodle Shop, to see the artist's mural for yourself! He also has a great piece featuring Blondie's Debbie Harry in NOHO. Check out more info about Shepard and his art on our website. Link in bio!

Do you know the difference between a dry pot and a hot pot when it comes to cooking Sichuan style food? Málà Project is a retro style establishment in the East Village is known for its dry pot cooking; Málà’s dry pot is wok-cooked in the kitchen over high heat with 24 different spices and then delivered to your table to be shared, family-style. Opinions vary widely on how spicy their spiciness level is. If you are new to the food, start out with mild and go from there. We have good news for you: you don’t need to travel to France for an amazing crusty baguette sandwich. You can find one right in the East Village at Le Petit Parisien! You will feel whisked away on a Parisien day with their hard-to-find jambon-beurre sandwich aka ham & butter (look for “Le Parisien” on the menu). They also have versions with comté cheese, a duck rillettes sandwich, tuna, smoked salmon, vegetarian and vegan options. But, our absolute favorite is the Gainsbourg with its bone-in cooked ham and comté cheese. We get it made-to-order with arugula, tomatoes, cornichons, and hard-boiled egg slices. Trust us. It works. If you stop in, you may be wondering why the walls are lined with newspaper...click the link below to find out why! 👇
