TONIGHT - Join us for the opening of New Practices New York 2018.

New Practices New York, a biennial competition since 2006, serves as New York City’s preeminent platform to recognize and promote new and innovative architecture and design firms. This year’s New Practices New York competition looked for firms that offer new modes of thinking, create opportunities for thoughtful architecture, and take agency as designers in NYC.

Five promising and pioneering firms were chosen to be exhibited in New Practices New York 2018:

New Practices New York 2018 will showcase built, unbuilt, and speculative work by the five winning firms through photography, renderings, and 3-D models. The exhibition will also dive into the influences and motivations of the practices by presenting objects of inspiration – books, materials, images, and more.

Exhibition designer Studio Lin has collaborated with MOS Architects to fabricate custom furniture, with materials courtesy of MG McGrath.
