π₯§ Pecan Pie Bars β All the flavor of classic pecan pie in a portable bar form! Perfect for sharing or indulging!
π Ingredients:
For the crust:
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour πΎ
1/4 cup granulated sugar π¬
1/2 tsp salt π§
1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed π§
For the filling:
1 cup light corn syrup π―
3/4 cup packed brown sugar π¬
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted π§
3 large eggs π₯
1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract πΏ
1 1/2 cups pecan halves π
π₯ Instructions:
1οΈβ£ Preheat the oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C). Line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang for easy removal.
2οΈβ£ Make the crust: In a bowl, combine the flour, sugar, and salt. Cut in the cold butter using a pastry cutter or fork until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Press the mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan. Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until lightly golden.
3οΈβ£ Prepare the filling: In a mixing bowl, whisk together the corn syrup, brown sugar, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth. Stir in the pecans.
4οΈβ£ Pour the filling over the baked crust and spread evenly.
