Art is individualistic AND communal.
Art is sensual AND spiritual.
Art requires an individual soul to be a instrument for the Muses, his dreams and impressions and desires the clay for the Muses to employ in crafting of beauty.
Art requires a community to form a communication of meaning, to form a meeting of minds and souls. Without a communal context, art have no meaning. Therefore, art must be communal and embracing and drawing out the communal ideas and ideals. Art is the gang colors drew large, an expression and celebration of tribal culture, a sign of a communal ownership.
Art is sensual, an almost erotic delight in employment of body, an feast for eyes, ears, fingers, and tongue. A keen appreciation for the well-selected form and material is vital to art’s longevity. A mere theory, like much of contemporary “art”, die from a lack of an animal vitality.
Art is spiritual, a response to the dangerous grace of the world. To make art is to engage in an aristocratic pursuit of Beauty that emerged out of bloody conflict and harmony of life. It is acknowledging and celebration of Order that emerged out of a Darwinian interaction of many forces, Order made possible by masculine domination. Our galactic order made possible by the dangerous grace of super black hole at the center, our earthy life made possible by dangerous grace of a bright atomic power that rise daily in morns. War is indeed the father of Harmony through union with Passion. Out of passion for life, for love, for kin, for ideals come powerful beauty that stirs both men’s souls and loins. Love stirs men to erected well-aligned cities. Love stirs women to nurse a well-formed babe. Love is both selfish and tribal, a twined passion that knitted an web of cunning design that awe and delight us.
