Geoff and I are very proud of Colton's impressive accomplishments this year. We are pleased to be a sponsor and look forward to witnessing what the future holds for this talented young individual.

14 year old Colton Brock made the nearly 1,300 mile, 19 hour haul to Nodak Speedway at the North Dakota State Fairgrounds, a fast and competitive 3/8-mile track, and made it worth every mile. Brock took home the win in The Young Lions portion of the INEX Dirt Nationals against some of the best young drivers in the nation.

Back home, Brock finished 3rd in the Ohio Valley Legends Car Series, the premier Legends series across Southern Ohio and Northern Kentucky.

The future’s looking bright for this young wheelman.

Tips for Proper Watering
Why Timing Matters: Watering at the right time ensures that your grass absorbs the maximum amount of moisture while minimizing waste and the risk of disease. Here are some expert tips:

How Much to Water
Provide at least a half inch of water twice per week to ensure the turf receives an adequate amount of water.
Check out the video below for more detailed watering information.

Early Morning is Best:
The ideal time to water your lawn is early in the morning, between 5 AM and 11 AM. The cooler temperatures and gentle morning breeze allow the water to soak deeply into the soil before the heat of the day causes evaporation.

Avoid Midday Watering:
Watering during the hottest part of the day, typically between 11 AM and 6 PM, leads to significant water loss through evaporation.

Watering Established Landscapes:
Established landscapes need an inch of water every two weeks at a minimum. If your plants show signs of severe stress from the heat, consider some extra watering to help them recover during high temperatures. Always complete your watering in the morning before noon.

Additional Tips:
Water Evenly: Ensure your sprinkler system covers the entire lawn uniformly.
Check Soil Moisture: The top 6-8 inches of soil should be moist. You should be able to stick a screw driver or butter knife into the soil.
Mulch Around Plants: Mulching helps retain soil moisture and reduces the need for frequent watering.

By following these best practices, you'll maintain a lush, healthy lawn that can withstand the changing Ohio weather.
Thank you for choosing us for your lawn care needs.
