Well, for what I thought was a promising start, my back has other decisions. So I have an appt with the VA next fri to schedule back surgery and hopefully I can get it over to the U of U. I’ve got 3 jobs to finish up and then get the basement shop finished up so I can keep busy and sell stuff for Christmas.

Well folks, after the last almost year of terrible health issues and bad luck with that, we are finally moving forward. I have been lucky enough to bring on board my younger brother Kidd, whom I will be teaching as we go. So let the fun and business begin!

Winter hack!! Are you one of the unfortunate souls that can’t park your vehicle in a garage or covered parking? Go and get a good spray bottle, fill with half isopropyl alcohol (dollar store is best place to buy it cheap) and the other half of water. Now you have your own de-icer!!

It has been a while and a long time coming. After finding out that I fractured my ankle and walking in a walking boot for the last week, completing the EBV course and getting ahead with the family, it is time to buckle down and get to business. Utah Peeps!!! Did you know that Utah has some of the most alkalidic soil? And your grass doesn't like to grow in it. It takes lots of energy. Grass loves a ph 6.5-7 and most soils are 7.5-8. Doesn't sound like much a difference, but it is. The problem is it takes a long time to lower the PH properly, but you can raise it fairly quickly if not careful. Elemental sulfur is the best way to drop it. It comes on 50 lbs bags for around $20 a bag. Spread just like fertilizer and grass seed. Then water.
