Few. Isn't it warm today. The breeze just finally started to pick up thankfully.

If you're working outside today folks remember to stay hydrated, and dont push yourselves to hard. I understand the jobs gotta get done, but the next one won't if your laid up or sick. Listen to your bodies. A 15 minute break is a lot cheaper than a hospital bill.

With that being said. What are yall working on today. Im getting some pressure treated railings.

Well another job in the books. I gotta say I absolutely appreciate each and everyone of my customers. But the absolute appreciation they express when they see the finished job, that is the reason I do this.

Here we have a camp that had open walls in the bedrooms and bathroom. Thats right, bare studs. So, remedy this we shall. Went through and insulated the walls and then installed the beautiful 1x6 v-match. And look at how beautiful it turned out.

Sometimes on a job I know exactly what to expect. And other times.... Well let's just say the nests were a surprise thankfully the were empty. Otherwise I would have had one hell of an ouchy.

I gotta say over all this was a fun project. I mean installing some insulation in the ceilings not so much, but every job has to have something you dont care for in it right?..

Ive been a carpenter for 15 years+ and ive got to say, the look on customers faces when they genuinely like/love the work you do, man its like nothing else. Ill never get used to it. It's also why I do what I do, and this one, well it was another one of those jobs.

I recently had the privilege of doing some work for the Remax office in skowhegan.

As the pictures show the back room of this office space had two really old and weathered windows. I was hired to replace one window, and remove the other to make room for a much needed storage closet. My goal was to try and make it look as though everything belonged and nothing had changed.

I was also hired to add a gate to a small alley way between the Remax office and adjacent building.

Well i will say some times even if you schedual jobs ahead, things still dont always turn out the way you had hoped. I had a job scheduled and as soon as I went to start, well, I found an even bigger surprise. So that jobs been temporarily postponed.

Anyways, that opened up some time to install these three storm doors. Nothing super difficult, but fun all the same. I wish I had taken pictures of the ones that were there before. Man were they In rough shape. Now this customer has three brand new storm doors that are absolutely beautiful.

Yesterday was a busy Italian day! 😍

FOUR Italians (and two orders of Dumpling Lasagna!) went out to some awesome staff for lunches over at Margaret Chase Smith School’s new Hight building! 👏🏼💯
