A large chimney on a low slope roof needs something to divert water, even the best ice guard available wasn’t enough for this 2 year old roof. We built and installed a saddle, proper flashing and removed the silicone caulking for roof grade sealant that can expand with the heat and cold. Just a few small mistakes and the homeowner was getting water. Details make the difference.
