The Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens in Boothbay span over 300 acres of tidal shorelines, forest trails, and lush wetlands. Along the paths, you’ll encounter five towering trolls...some reaching 20 feet tall...hidden among the trees. Explore the Lerner Garden of the Five Senses, where you can touch, smell, and even taste your way through native plants. Kids will love the Children’s Garden with its whimsical fairy garden and treehouse, while the Butterfly House bursts with fluttering color. Keep an eye out for life-sized sculptures tucked into the landscape. Before you leave, grab lunch at the café and browse the gift shop for locally made finds.
