These photos that I post here, of staged houses, are all done completely online (some of the houses are ones I've designed - they're being flipped by investors - and some I've never seen before). I receive the photos, upload them to the virtual staging website, and then "furnish" the house from their library of images. Everything can be manipulated: size, orientation, location, etc, although there are some limits to the technology. For instance, sometimes an image won't "hide" around a corner, but rather overlaps a wall in the foreground. Then I either have to get creative and use something to cover part of the image that isn't working by overlapping another image (lots of big floor plants haha) or it just cannot be done. That is why, sometimes, a room seen from different angles doesn't completely match: a lamp disappears over here, or there is no rug shown over there. These are usually small differences though, that the casual viewer probably does not notice. Besides, these photos are used to inspire, not to deceive, so it's all good. There are images of furnishings for every room, from couches and chairs to the art on the wall, kitchen accessories and patio furniture. Not all of the images are useful (many weird curtains, tabletop accessories, etc) but there is certainly more than enough there to pull a room together. These photos are then used in the real estate listing so that potential buyers can see what the house could look like. If you know any Realtors who could use this service, please refer them!
