Hey y’all! We just harvested over 100 pounds of fresh homegrown tomatoes from our garden right here at Sprouting Acres Farm. These are juicy, vine-ripened, and packed with that real tomato flavor you can’t find in stores.

Get to Know the Family & Farm! 🌱🐖❤️
We’re proud to carry pork from Walter Farms, a wonderful small family farm right here in Millingport, North Carolina!
In 2021, Kayla and her husband Kevin started thinking about raising their own food. They wanted to know exactly where it came from and how it was raised. Like so many small farms, they started with 10 egg-laying chickens and were blown away by how much better they tasted than store-bought eggs.
The itch grew stronger, so in 2023 they started raising their own pork. Since then, they’ve grown and are now able to share their products with others.
They raise their pigs outdoors in wooded paddocks with plenty of fresh air, moving them regularly to new areas. Humane treatment is their #1 priority - not just because it’s the right thing to do for the animals, but because it’s also great for the land and soil. The pigs naturally forage as they move through the woods, which helps fertilize the ground.
They’re also teaching their 3 kids that food doesn’t just come from the grocery store - and they cherish every moment of caring for the animals together as a family.
