The motor is back together and rotated by hand. Ready to put the rest back together and heat cycle🤞🏻

Everything is inspected and measured. Time to clean all the parts before assembly.

Just got everything back from the machine shop for the second time. Full inspection and measurements before installation. Then time to surgically clean everything before assembly.

Most likely a new set of rings will be on order. Still need to inspect the valve guides and other parts before assembly. Not sure how the new piston ring was so badly worn. Just the top one on the rear head seems worn. Wasn’t that way when I pulled it off the bike

Rear exhaust valve failure on initial test ride. Proper heat cycles and re-torqued everything by the book. Oil pressure and return verified with fresh oil. Engine never overheated but valve bent and stuck open during 1st low speed test ride
