The Odessa Garden Club needs your help keeping Railroad Park blooming this summer!

We are looking for volunteers to sign up for one-week increments to water the plantings at Railroad Park. A hose is available at the park, so volunteers just need to provide a little time and care. Watering needs will depend on the weather, but during most weeks, the plants will need to be watered daily.

The Odessa Garden Club is a 501(c)(3) organization, and this is a great opportunity for anyone needing community service hours. Please indicate that when signing up so we can help document your service.

Today's Member Spotlight is the Odessa Garden Club.

The Odessa Garden Club is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting gardening and community beautification in Odessa, Missouri. The club has monthly meetings to plan service projects and share gardening knowledge, sometimes with guest speakers. Some of the projects the club has participated in include the plantings at Railroad Park, the Odessa Reservoir, and the planters at the 4-way stops. The club fundraises through membership dues, donations, an annual plant sale, and t-shirt sales.

Join the Odessa Garden Club for their Annual Plant Sale on May 2nd at Railroad Park from 9 AM to 12 PM. This is a great opportunity to support local beautification efforts while picking up a variety of plants for your own garden. Proceeds help fund community projects and future plantings around town.
