Our start to summer hasn't exactly gone according to plan. First, my whole household came down with strep, and then our son ended up in the hospital. Thank goodness everyone is happy, healthy, and fully recovered now!
On the bright side, all this recent rain has been doing wonders for the garden! The tomatoes, cucumbers, and broccoli are growing beautifully. Strangely, nothing I planted straight from seed has sprouted this year—I'm not entirely sure why, but hey, that's gardening for you! Because of that, I’m planning to really focus on a fall garden this season.
With today's perfect weather, I finally got outside to tackle the weeds (which are also loving the rain!). It felt so amazing to just be out in the sunshine and get my hands in the soil.
