There's mystery in your eyes
a little bit of danger in your smile
I can hear your silence
like a terrifying scream
even as you sit back and say
nothing
Actions speak louder than words
but your inaction,
the loudest thing I've ever heard!

I just needed to feel
your lips against mine,
our arms around each other,
our bodies intertwined.
I just needed you close to me,
without restrictions,
to know it that wasn't just a dream.
All along, I just needed you
to be here with me.

Out of the Blue

Waves kept coming at me
knocking me down
Everytime I got up
it came back around

I stood on my 2 feet
strong as can be
but out of nowhere
it came back for me

I fought to keep standing
through turbulence and grief
Tried to stand strong
till I could no longer breathe

And when finally the waters, were nice and calm
it was over my head
and sand filled my lungs

I lay on the beach
exhausted and beat
and when I could no longer move
you came and lifted me

Daydream

I still remember
like it was yesterday
Your soft curls bouncing
with every step you'd take

You were 7 feet tall to me
eyes sparkling
smile shining
like a walking daydream

You didn't just enter a room
you became it
Larger than life and
unlike anyone I ever knew
but gone before I had the chance
to say
I love you

A song not written
A story untold
The breath escaping from your lips is a treasure not hidden

I saw couples stealing kisses to a love song
People clapping to sing alongs
and I knew I was exactly where I belongd
Standing in the shaddows
Observing all I see
Thanking my lucky stars
that you are standing here with me

The water draped in moonlight
reminds me of your eyes.
When last I saw you,
your memory
burned deep within my mind

Standing here I thought of you
Alone with these visions you left me
The night still and quiet
and in the darkness you're all I see

Baby I can't get away
from everything you are
You are the thoughts inside my mind
and you're in every beat of my heart
Even when you're gone you linger
In every breath I take
I am forever in your debt
for the memories we've made

and weathered

Your smile
lights up my night
under the warm amber glow
of this cities light
The fire in your eyes
Ignigts passion in me
Desire I've never seen before
Never felt inside of me

I reach for the sky, for the trees, for the leaves
I reach for the clouds and
all the shapes in them I see
And the waves keep crashing at my feet
but I'm pinned down,
By gravity

Wanna walk, wanna run, want to escape,
and have some fun
And hey I thought I heard you call my name
but I'm lost in the game and
the rules, they always change

I wanna float, I wanna fly,
but I cant reach that high
I'm going crazy if I try
When I reach for the sky
It's heavy,
this gravity

Sinking in the sand
It's all I can do to stand
Trying to get to you
But feeling like a fool
Because every step I try to take
Leaves me feeling the same way

Reaching for the moon
For the stars
For where you are
But the weight that's on my shoulders
Got to get it off of me
Because After all, I know
This gravity will be the death of me

So much beauty happening
when you‘re staring back at me
The sunsets in your eyes
it looks like perfection to me
and I never will forget
I’m committing it to memory
