Most homeowners never see this part of the process, but it plays a huge role in protecting the health and value of a home.

During a crawlspace encapsulation, foundation walls are insulated to help regulate temperature and reduce the dramatic temperature swings that occur beneath your home. This helps improve energy efficiency, control condensation, and create a more stable environment inside the crawlspace.

You may also notice a small gap at the very top of the insulation. That’s intentional.

Building codes and industry best practices often require a visible inspection gap so termite inspectors can easily identify any signs of termite activity along the top of the foundation wall. It is a small detail that helps protect homeowners from hidden pest issues while still providing the benefits of a properly insulated crawlspace.
