Hello, I’m Angela “G” Clanton, a self-starter who enjoys helping others succeed in making a vision reality. An education in architecture taught me to think outside the box, that problems are things to solve, and that research means to search, and then search again, to determine the best solution. With that in mind, I formed a business, ILLUS Visual & Design Arts, which has allowed me opportunity to provide visual and design services that fulfill a client’s mission to take an idea from the mind’s eye and make it reality by investigating its best possibilities.
Talents and skills have been added to custom building design services through ILLUSvis in response to market and social trends during its years of service. The addition of graphic design services led to a broad range of applications such as branding, product development, exhibit design, photography, community development, and more:
I have designed multiple custom residential and custom commercial building projects.
I have designed a pocket park for a Mississippi Main Street Association community.
I have designed 14 facades for a community downtown building facade grant program.
I have branded businesses, events, and products.
I have registered trademarks for start-up businesses and their products.
I have designed websites and managed social media campaigns.
I have photographed and edited images of buildings and people for publication.
I have performed the job of event photographer.
I have written and edited content for publications.
I have designed muti-page booklets, collateral packages, and deliverables.
I have managed event collateral packages, including purchasing.
I have designed a brand and the way-finding signage for a MS state landmark park.
I have researched for content and mapped museum exhibits in a feasibility study.
I have designed museum displays, exhibits, and signage.
I have developed products, served as manufacturing liason, and determined cost per unit.
I have been a visual merchandising manager of a major department store.
I have created artwork for a public mural, and written a grant for installation funding.
I have created watercolor, graphite, pen & ink, and digital architectural illustrations.
I have spoken in front of groups as an expert.
I have presented proposals for built projects to local governing and civic boards for vote.
I have worked in community development as a consultant.
I have served as a volunteer for multiple civic groups.
And ... I love helping startups, brand builders, and big thinkers attain a dream!
Most recently, I have flipped five properties. The work required me to play a large role in the labor force for projects to be completed. The product is a healthier me, ready for the next challenge!
